Proven Method for Jet Blast ProtectionInvisible to Radar
Blastwall is a specialized product made in Canada and installed at airports around the world. The unique all-fibreglass structure creates no radar image and requires virtually no maintenance. Blastwall solves technical challenges at airports with some of the most demanding requirements, where competing products fall short.
Operational Advantages
of Blastwall
Blastwall provides many key advantages over traditional airport wall structures made of steel:
NO RUNWAY CLOSURES: Installation is by work crews without need for cranes that will block access to landing paths.
NO CORROSION: The all-fibreglass structure, plating, girders and bolts offer virtually an indefinite operational lifetime with almost zero maitenance over many years.
ZERO RADAR FOOTPRINT: The performance of ground radar and radio beacons is not affected since Blastwall's frame and plating contain no steel components.
MINIMUM SITE PREPARATION: Levelling and placement of concrete mounting points with steel bolts at ground level is the only site preraration required.

The initial development of Blastwall, the unique radar invisible blast fence, was the result of a patented system developed and brought to market by the company's co-founder, the late Mark Selkirk, a noted Canadian entrepreneur in fibreglass technology applications.
The first airport deployment was a project undertaken under Mark Selkirk's leadership in 1998 between Blastwall Ltd., the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and NAV Canada.
In the years since that first installation, Blastwall has engineered airport installations in many challenging locations and circumstances. We invite you to view photographic galleries of three notable installations.
Blastwall continues to be engineered in Toronto and manufactured in both Canada and the USA.
We invite you to contact us today to discuss your specific project requirements.
